Hello! Sorry I won't be there again today. Here's the plan:
- Tasks for today:
- Complete a rough draft of your P1
- Reminder of details for P1:
Consider this sentence: “The future will be better than the present.” Do you think
this is true? Respond in a literary analysis paragraph of at least eight sentences.
Feel free to change the thesis as you would like. Use only examples from the texts
we’ve read as a class, with at least one properly integrated quote, and avoid referring
to yourself. The texts we’ve read so far are: “The Trunk in the Attic” (171),
“The Iron-Barred Door”(190), “the last great american dynasty,”
“The Raven Steals the Light,” and “The Great Musician: A Greek Myth” (302)
Marked out of 26 points, using the Academic Writing Rubric x 3, and two points to show
improvement on feedback from two separate people. No need to include a Works Cited
for this assignment.
- Review the expected Structure of a Paragraph
- Before writing, be sure to look at the feedback I gave you for Assignment 1. This will help you write your project.
- Remember to get a refresher on how to integrate quotes.
- See the Lesson Notes document for an example of how you might write P1. I used a different topic, and I used Disney movies, but you can follow the structure well.
- Tomorrow, I'll be creating several channels under the Team, and assigning about 5 students to each. Your task will be to post your rough draft, ask for feedback, and give written feedback to others who post in there as well. Showing evidence of improvement is part of the project.
- Thanks everyone! Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!
- No freewrite today folks! Focus on your paragraph.
