- Freewrite + Discussion question: Do you think the idea of "truth" is more or less clear than in the past? Is it getting easier or harder to determine what is true?

- Presentation on Fake News and Conspiracy theories, by Ms. Paulsen. Here's another presentation form Ms. Paulsen, with resources for evaluating sources.
- Discussion: Consider what the video says about fake news: it finds and makes worse the existing "cracks" in society. What "cracks" might your story make worse? Do you think the conspiracy theory you chose might be fake news? Why?
- Time for Assignment 5
- Your goal by the end of the lesson is to find two reputable sources discussing the conspiracy theory. Look especially for its origin, and for fact-checkers. Ms. Paulsen is a great resource for this!
- Write down your rough answers for A, B, and C
- For tomorrow, please read this article. We'll be discussing the conspiracy theory of QAnon, and how some conspiracy theories present dangers.
