 Hello! Here's what we're up to today:

• Re examining the details on the paragraph:

• Structure of a Paragraph
• Mr. McLean's Writing Tips
• Peer review
• Get written comments from at least three of your peers. Remember to document them (a photo will do!) for the three extra points of the assignment.
• When editing others, look for:
• Are they following paragraph structure?
• Are their quotes integrated into their sentences?
• Do they have analyses that are closely connected to their argument?
• Have they correctly used punctuation, spelling, and verb conjugation?
• Do they follow the writing tips above?
• At the end, offer a "compliment sandwich:"
• One positive thought
• A recommendation for improvement
• Another positive thought
• Handing back assignments
• Check in on report cards
• Tomorrow, be sure to respond to the "check in" and "discussion" prompt.
• For next class, submit your project. You may bring in a good copy, or submit it on Teams. For your evidence of peer review, that may be either physical, or digital on Teams.
• Friday will be an in-class lesson. We'll debrief the unit, spend some time examining priorities moving forward, and Ms. MacPhee will introduce you to The Giver!
