 Hello! Here's what we're up to today:

English 8

• (Quick) Check in
• Plot twist for today: it's possible I won't be here tomorrow, because my son might be getting sick. If that's the case, I don't want you to have to deliver your final project to someone you don't know. So with that in mind, we're going to go with "bird in the hand": it is now an option to record your speech on your own, and submit it to Teams as a video by end of the school day tomorrow (so it won't be shown to the class). Those who would prefer an in person speech will go today. Part of this would mean that the best speech will not be determined by a student, but by my own obviously super objective and scientific opinion (I'll send an email, and the prize can be picked up next week).
• Heads up: I'm just finishing marking Independent Novel Assignments, and some of you haven't handed them in. Get them in ASAP

• Today's FIT is in...the Theatre again?!?!
• Tomorrow, there will be time for you to complete your Report Card comment
• Pre emptive goodbyes, how to contact me for your marks, what Monday looks like, and how to get candy next semester.
