 Hello! Here's what we're up to today:

  • Tasks for today
    • Read pages 19-48 in Wenjack
    • If you haven't, get started reading your novel for Project 4
    • Check in
    • Answer the discussion question
    • Complete a freewrite
  • Checking in - how are you feeling today? Head to the "checking in" channel to answer.
  • Discussion question: On page 15, Chanie says that the smell of spruce reminds him of home. What is a smell that you connect with comfort? Describe it and explain it.
  • A Tribe Called Red created a tribute to Chanie called BEFORE, with a spoken-word poem by Joseph Boyden. Let's give it a listen.
  • Reminders:
    • Be sure to take notes as we go
    • There will be a test (likely valuable) on Wenjack, on November 2nd.
    • For your online lesson, I encourage you to have your copy of Wenjack with you.
