- Discussion question: On page 15, Chanie says that the smell of spruce reminds him of home. What is a smell that you connect with comfort? Describe it and explain it.
- A Tribe Called Red created a tribute to Chanie called BEFORE, with a spoken-word poem by Joseph Boyden. Let's give it a listen.
