Assignment 5 - Investigate and Assess a Conspiracy Theory. Due Jan 25th.
Big Idea: Digital citizens have rights and responsibilities in an increasingly globalized society.
Choose one example of Fake News or Conspiracy Theory that you’ve heard about, or seen in your social media timelines. Show an image or screenshot related to that story, and cite it properly. In a paragraph, explore this story. You should consider the following questions:
Where did you hear about this?
What is the origin of this story?
Is this Fake News or a conspiracy theory?
Offer your own assessment of the reality of the situation.
How dangerous a story is this story to society?
Offer your thoughts on the best way to prevent this story from spreading further.
Assessment:
18 points using the Universal Rubric
3 points for a properly formatted Works Cited
3 points for proper use of commas, semi-colons, and dashes.
- Time for Assignment 5. Before tomorrow, try to choose a conspiracy theory, an image that is creditable and relevant, and your explanation for why you chose that particular theory.

- I wasn't able to come in to work today, so the 1215 lesson is being moved to Friday. That means that the schedule this week is:
