    • What do you already know about First Peoples in British Columbia?
  • Background of the story
  • Freewrite and Discussion: Sometimes, tricking others can be good.
  • Recap of the Visual Representation of Myth assignment
  • The Raven Brings the Salmon (password: Raven)
    • While we're watching, listen for moments when her story creates clear images. Try to write down three of those images.
  • Reaction to the video
    • What images stood out for you?
    • Did you prefer to have a story written, or spoken? Why?
  • Time for Visual Assignment
    • Identify a quote
    • Identify the tone
  • Time to prepare for your quiz. Your page of notes can include:
    • Literary term definitions and examples
    • Summaries of the three myths: "The Great Musician," "The Legend of Tir Na Nog," and "The Raven Brings the Salmon"
    • Analysis of the three myths (ask yourself: what thematic statement applies to each? What tone can be used? What are possible symbols? Possible examples of imagery?)
  • For tomorrow, make sure you have one page of notes ready for your quiz. The rest of the class will be time for your project and your assignment
