Hello! Here's what we're up to today:
Rotation 2

- Prior knowledge - what myths were you able to find out about?
- Literary terms (See Lesson Notes document)
- Review yesterday
- Tone
- Theme
- Thematic statement
- Assignment - Visual Representation of a Myth
- Integrating quotes
- For English, we need to practice incorporating quotes into your writing.
- To integrate a quote, your words need to be featured in the same sentence as the author's words (if you remove the quotes, the sentence should still make sense)
- There are three ways to do this:
- Quote at the end
- The character Bob clearly states that "he doesn't want to go to bed."
- Quote in the middle
- While Bob clearly "doesn't want to go to bed," he will likely have to.
- Quote at the beginning
- "He doesn't want to go to bed," the author says, but I'm not sure I believe him.
- Time to practice
- Freewrite/Discussion: Eternal life
- The Legend of Tir Na Nog
- What did you think of the story? Which one did you prefer so far?
- Activity on analysis
- For tomorrow, watch this video by Kung Jaadee on "Salmon Stories" (Password is the word Raven)
- Brief heads up on tomorrow
