Hello! Sorry I won't be there again today. Here's what we're up to:

- In groups of 2-3, answer these questions. We'll discuss them in class tomorrow:
- What are specific ways in which this book is similar and different so far from The Outsiders.
- Choose a character. Offer 2-3 specific examples of characterization (how do they appear, act, and speak)
- What is a thematic statement that applies to the novel so far?
- In what way do you see life in The Hunger Games as similar to our society? Choose one way, and explain.
- On your own, choose one quote from the first three chapters, and come up with a question for discussion. We'll do a Socratic Circle tomorrow, where you'll discuss what you found.
- Freewrite
