November 24, 2021

Hello! Once more, with feeling - sorry I can't be there today. Hopefully by tomorrow I'm well enough to come on back! Meanwhile, here's the plan:

English 8

  • Freewrite
    • Set a timer for ten minutes
    • Consider this image. What story should take place in this setting? Bonus: can you write it with a tone that doesn't line up with a dungeon?

    • Share your responses with others
  • Note a few changes:
    • The reading schedule will need to be shifted back because of my absences. I'll let you know the schedule later one, but for now:
      • Chapters 4-6 will present on Thursday
      • Chapters 7-9 will present on Monday
      • Chapters 10-12 will present on Wednesday
  • For tomorrow:
    • Yesterday, I asked you to reflect on one connection you see between The Hunger Games and modern life. Take about twenty minutes now to write a paragraph expanding on that idea. Bring that paragraph to class tomorrow, to share with others.
  • For the rest of the class, you may:
    • Read ahead (Chapters 7-9 on Monday)
    • Get started on your Project 4

English 9

      • Share your responses with others
    • Note a few changes:
