English 8 AM
- Reminder of the Game Assignment details
- Reminder of the Game Assignment Rubric
- Before tomorrow's lesson, create a detailed plan for your game (I'll be checking with everyone). Once you're ready, you can get started. Please note that there are coloured pencils and paper by one of the doors
English 8 PM
- Reminder that you'll be creating your own advertisement by the end of the week (details to come tomorrow)
- Distributing Persuasive Techniques in advertisement sheet (there should be copies of this on the ledge in room 214)
- First, go through the page describing Logos, Pathos, and Ethos, and complete the small activity
- Ten Minute Freewrite:
- Which one do you personally find more convincing? Logos, Pathos, or Ethos?
- Which one do you think your generation finds more convincing?
- If you're comfortable, once you're done writing, you can discuss your thoughts with the class
- Next, read through the persuasive techniques on the back page. Then, rank them based on which ones you find the most and least powerful, and explain why you chose the most powerful and the least powerful.
